services, financial services, business consulting, industrial equipment...
and more.
 |
Drawing on his extensive experience
Stuart has developed a proprietary
model for addressing the sales improvement challenges faced by companies.
The Sales Improvement PropellerTM represents the four
major areas of skills and processes that drive business development and
sales improvement initiatives.
This model takes a holistic view of the business development
process...
from generating leads through effective marketing; to
undertaking sales discussions with clients; to identifying needs and
buying triggers; to presenting solutions (not just a price); as well
as the sales management aspects of setting goals, implementing
regular reviews, and establishing ongoing support
processes. |
Importantly, it is recognised that every
company is in its own unique position with regard to the stage of
evolution of its business development activities.
Some companies may need to acquire specific skills and techniques, whereas
other organisations will benefit from a more
comprehensive program for sales improvement.
A Consultative
Process
The starting
point of any engagement for Marketing Nous is to discuss with clients the current
stage for each blade of the Sales Improvement Propeller,
and assess the importance of those activities for the client organisation.
Through this consultative process an effective scope and
outcome for the engagement is determined, whether that be a training
program, review of lead generation, or development of
improved sales
management strategies.

"They
are using the stuff, and it works!"
As I expressed after your sessions with our
team, I was very impressed with your presentation, content and direction taken.
More importantly, our people have absorbed the many points covered, and the concepts are now coming up in
discussions with clients.
Better yet, these discussions are positive and outcome oriented - yes, they are using the stuff, and it works!

About the word 'Nous'...
Unlike the French pronoun 'nous'
(meaning 'we' or 'us'), in colloquial English the word nous
(pronounced like 'house') means
practical
intelligence, street savvy, or common sense. These are good
descriptors for how Stuart Ayling approaches sales and marketing issues - using a
combination of practical intelligence and street smarts to solve business
challenges.
In
fact the word nous has its origins in ancient Greek, then meaning 'of the mind'.
During the 18th Century in England it was adapted into its current use and
made its way into the Australian vernacular.
